Determine What Causes Hemorrhoids And Some Good Treatments.

What Causes Hemorrhoids

Medical conditions are now very common. Some conditions are lethal although there are also less serious ones. If you’re not feeling well, this is already an indication that something is wrong in your body. Do you have lumps around your anus? Have you noticed blood covering your stools or perhaps blood stains on the tissue paper? These are common symptoms of hemorrhoids. If you are suffering from this condition, you need to determine what causes hemorrhoids.

According to medical professionals, hemorrhoids can be caused by chronic straining, inadequate fiber intake, and prolonged sitting. These are but theories of medical experts. Another possible cause is pregnancy which can put a lot of pressure on the hemorrhoidal veins. Tumors can also cause hemorrhoids. Studies also show that the condition has something to do with aging. Hemorrhoidal veins have supporting tissue but as people age, the muscles soon deteriorate and the tissue is pushed to the anal canal. When the anal sphincter is subjected to pressure, it can also lead to hemorrhoid. This is the muscle that controls your bowel movements. If you are straining to move your stool, this can result to the dragging of the hemorrhoid downwards which later on leads to inflammation. Now, these are the common causes although further studies are still being conducted by medical experts. The hemorrhoidal vein is subject to pressure in all of these situations and therefore leads to the frustrating condition. Now that you know what causes hemorrhoids, you can learn about the potential treatments.

Hemorrhoids are not considered as serious conditions but if you don’t want to experience discomfort or pain, you have to consult a doctor right away. Among the treatment options available are the use of suppositories, endovenous ablation, sclerotherapy, ointment, and other home remedies. The treatment will be based on the diagnosis of the doctor and in the severity of your condition. Ruptured hemorrhoids is usually accompanies with bleeding. To pop an external hemorrhoid is not a good idea, so if you need help, make sure that you consult a doctor right away. The treatment will be based on the cause of the hemorrhoid. Bleeding is not always a sign of this condition because this is also a symptom of other health conditions like colorectal cancer or digestive disorders. Simple cases of hemorrhoids can be treated using a suppository or cream. Some people also use creams to treat their spider veins or varicose veins. If you are not comfortable using these treatments or you don’t want to under an invasive surgery, you can go for home remedies.

Therapies usually involve the use of radio waves, lasers, and other tools. A reputable medical professional will not prescribe you with any medication or treatment is the root cause if not determined. For instance, if the cause is due to straining, you have to increase your fiber intake. By doing so, you can decrease the strain since your bowels are now soft. What causes hemorrhoids? Well, no one really knows but the medical experts usually rely on the above-mentioned causes to evaluate the condition.
